101On Thurs I bought a skate wing for £4.69, which I didn't see but was handed to me wrapped. When I unwrapped it a powerful reek of ammonia hit me in the face, and I had to open the windows! This fish was RED and inedible. What do you suggest?
Hi Mrs harper, I sincerely apologise that this has happened, unfortunately this does sometimes happen with skate especially the females, they are red because they’re are freshly skinned bringing the blood to the surface, this is completely normal, if you would like to send us your bank details we can issue you a refund, sorry again.
